Botswana offers the most exceptional African safari experience you can imagine. The pinnacle of Botswana tourism is the Okavango Delta. It is simply unparalleled. A wildlife sanctuary set in one of the only places on earth where a river forms an inland delta.

This wilderness is home to a spectacle of African wildlife that is only rivaled by the herds of Kenya’s safari wonderland, the Masai Mara and Tanzania’s Serengeti.

If you love wildlife, then a southern African safari in Botswana will give you a wonderful sense of serenity and calm. We always feel that. Even though we – my wife, our daughter, and I – have been on over 80 African safari holidays throughout Africa.

“I never knew of a morning in Africa
when I woke that I was not happy”

Ernest Hemingway
Botswana remains one of the favorite destinations for wildlife enthusiast in Africa. The remoteness, closeness to nature and tranquility will delight you, fill you with wonder and revitalize you.

Like all of the best African safaris, safaris in Botswana offer a big bonus. You have the time and opportunity to share things that are important to you. Things like your love of wildlife, nature and the importance of conservation. For me, Botswana safaris are the ultimate Africa wildlife safari.

An African Botswana safari is truly second to none. In terms of game, beautiful wilderness settings, conservation of wildlife habitats and comfort while on safari, it is legendary. And it deserves to be world famous.

The only improvement on a Botswana safari would be to combine it with a safari in a neighboring country – Namibia, Victoria Falls or select from a variety of world class Botswana South Africa safaris. Indulge yourself and let the warm African sun melt away the stresses and demands of a much too busy lifestyle. Here are some lodges that will introduce you to Botswana’s wildlife as you indulge yourself!

Botswana Safaris – Immunizations For Travel To Botswana

Botswana has generally high levels of hygiene. Drinking water from the tap is safe throughout the country. And if you prefer bottled water is readily available. No specific foreign travel immunizations are compulsory if you arrive from North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia. But it is wise to ensure that your polio and tetanus shots are up to date. It is also recommended that you have a Hepatitis A immunization.

For travel to Botswana, you need to take anti malaria pills (get your doctor’s advice on the best one for you), sleep under a mosquito net, use insect repellents. Malaria

carrying mosquitoes are active between dusk and dawn so have on long sleeve shirts and long pants then.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is necessary if you’ve come from a country where the disease is endemic. For example, Kenya, Tanzania or tropical South America. If you are going to another African country first and need the yellow fever shot, remember that a yellow fever certificate only becomes valid ten days after you’ve had the shot.
